Dr. Ortiz is an Associate Professor for Clinical Psychiatry for Lewis Katz Temple School of Medicine. She is the Chief of Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry and Medical Director of the Psychosomatic Medicine Clinic at Temple University Hospital. As part of her commitment with the Latino American Community, she participates as a Commissioner to the Governor’s Advisory Commission for Latino Affairs and is the President of the Society of Ibero Latin American Medical Professionals. Her clinical work is on the interphase of mind and body and how medical disease affects the mind and vice versa. She has participated in multiple workshops educating the community life and by radio and TV. She has published several academic articles and book chapters. As part of her involvement on integrated care, she is leading the organization of the Spanish Network Spanish speaker Physicians for Temple University Hospital and is a Board Member at Philadelphia Medical Society.
