Project Description
After School Program
Concilio operates after-school programming during the school year for elementary, middle, and high school students, in collaboration with the Public Health Management Corporation of Philadelphia (PHMC), 21st Century Community Learning Center/PA Department of Education (GRANT), and the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. Concilio works with these partners to provide a constructive and safe environment for each student during after school hours. Youth explore the world around them through STEAM activities, field trips, and guest speakers. Youth attend after-school programming throughout the school year receiving homework help and overall mentorship from Concilio youth facilitators. What drives our after school program staff is encouraging students to be their best selves. Building critical thinking, life skills and challenging students through experiential and learning activities, along with an encouraging environment keep students coming back to Concilio’s program and ultimately builds community within and outside of school.
